they should have shown king dedede steal the halberd from metaknight (he hits him over the head with his hammer and steals the keys) but then the match between mario and kirby would have had to come later

I pretty much filled in all the gaps in the story using my own *imagination* - I don't need Sakurai to spoon-feed me this stuff.
My favourite cut-scene is when Bowser gets his revenge beating on Ganondorf's trophy/statue (before climbing the "Stairway to Subspace") - it made me chuckle when Ganondorf woke up and held his head with a "Why do I have a headache?" subtlety! GREAT!

Awesome update. I love how big it is and how much it explains about SSE. There really was a lot that went into the plot. While everything was pretty self explanatory, there were some scenes that later had me scratching my head (the brooch scenes in particular). I'm glad Sakurai decided to post this update. It really helps us complete our understanding of the game. That really is too bad they had to cut out the scene with the taking of the Halberd. Not only would it have been appropriate, but it would have been neat to watch. You.*

I tend to think the same thing. Smash Brothers brings characters from all over the video gaming world, and places them side by side. Its against the nature of Smash Brothers to single out a particular character as the greatest...that in itself would defeat the purposes of bringing them together in the first place. So yeah. While there are some potential difficulties with this view, it does make the most sense. I honestly can't imagine them all singing glory to Sonic. |

Bowser "owned" Ganondorf in *that scene* though - lol! Bowser and Wario are my favourite "villains" - I'm not really too impressed by Ganondorf or Dedede. |

wow this is actually a pretty decent update. it makes a lot of things fit into place. even though i dont like him (dont tell sarah) i really like how sakurai explains Mr G&W a bit more
