yeah good call. and i think nintendo dont want to over-use the mushroom logo so i can see them sneaking other mario characters in disguised as their own franchises. (i think Yoshi and Wario are part of that.. and DK to a far lesser extent)

donkey kong was around before mario developed his mushroom additction . also , i don't think there are any donkey kong games with mushrooms in them . if they wanted to unify all those games with a single icon , it would have to be a moustache or something .

Yoshi doesnt need anymore representation! Yoshi is just another Mario character to me and i dont think we need any more.

although you guys are probably right about yoshi being just another mario charachter i believe hes proved himself enough that he could be his own theme i knowalot of you didnt like yohis story but i would say its ok that hes got his own logo
i was also thinking that since a few charachters like young link and dr mario are clone characters but slightly different they could do that with toshi there are alot of yoshis out there and if you rember they all had a little different ability im just saying it might be nice to play an alternative style yoshi with a different move set

oh i dont mean to say dk should be under the mushroom logo- he realy shudnt, just those 3 characters yoshi wario and dk were originally in mario games but had their own games too. DK being the one whos games appear the least like spin offs. |

i agree with this conclusion and to add wario and donkey kong have had their own games to establish themselves so i dont thin tey are spinoffs anymore maybe alittle bit from wario casue well he was made that way but yoshi is the same he lives in the same world as mario but his own persona that what i think

lol your right i never thought about that but come on i dont think anyone would say that mario is a spin off some would even say that its marios first game cause hes just as much the main charachter as donkey Kong it just so happens to be named after him
