for me i think ocarina wins by the narrowest of margins. after playing it just a moment ago, all the memories came back of happy times when there was no hard schoolwork and plenty of freedom.gameplay is great on both and music too.Lasting appeal wins it for me.

I've got to say Ocarina, just. For it's time it was a truly amazing game, and once you get over the annoyingness of Navi, you can't put it down. Twilight is great too, but I think Ocarina just has the edge. I've never understood why they got rid of the 'triforce' legend in TP and replaced it with all that 'blessings of the gods' stuff. It spoils a great idea.

meh, they're both good.  I voted for Twilight Princess because the graphics are so beautiful and tehy finally made Link's outfits look different, instead of having everybody come up with the same clothes design.

I went for Ocarina of Time. The sequence of events there are much more complex. Twilight Princess didn't necessarily have good long trading sequences. It's what made OoT unique. And I actually like the emphasis on sages in OoT rather than light spirits, fused shadows and mirror of twilight in TP. But I'd got to admit...TP falls short of OoT by .00000000000000000000000000000000000001

not really...miyamoto envisioned the whole series way before and they decided to bring that part of the series out at a time they feel right.

that's very hard to believe . please show me any indication that ocarina of time , majora's mask , windwaker , and twilight princess had already been conceived by 1992 .

I say OOT of time is the best by a large margin. It was such an amazing game and the story mixed with such a unique game mechanic at the time was awsome. I also appreciate games that are tougher and make you think about how to approach a challenge and/or boss. It wasn't impossibly hard, but you definitley had a sense of accomplishment when you figured out some of the puzzles or temples themselves (Water Temple anyone?!?!). On the other hand TP to me seemed much too easy and there weren't many times where you had the "Hell yea i figured that @#$% out, damn i'm smart!" feeling. It was also a very vast game and the setting and areas that you could go definitley had a great feeling to them. TP is no doubt an awsome game, but there is just some kind of a feeling of emptyness there that OOT and even in some ways MM was able to fill. I pray for the day that they rerelease OOT for the Wii because there will be no question i would buy it. I would revisit OOT if my 64 wasn't dead, may it R.I.P.

i totaly agree with fallen, OOT was awesome because its dungeons were guite difficult and the actual game was a huge challenge, and of course the story kept me going more than it did in TP, plus the game was much longer than TP, to tell the truth, i was a bit disapointed when i finished TP, i was like, thats it? it was incredibly easy compared to OOT, so OOT all the way!

(by the way, that water temple really made me lose my mind, probably the most annoying dungeon ever created)
