Stadium: Boss Battles

Clear The Subspace Emissary and you’ll find a new mode – Boss Battles! In this mode you take down a total of ten bosses.

It’s under Solo → Stadium.

Even though it says Solo, you can enjoy this mode with two players.

Whooa! Take him down!

There are five difficulty levels. Except for the final boss, they’ll appear in random order. The later they arrive, the tougher they become to beat, so if I were you I’d hope that strong bosses don’t appear near the end. You need luck here.

As you enter the latter half, they get stronger and harder accordingly.



One down – on to the Rest Station.

The Rest Station holds three Heart Containers. If there are two players, you’ll have five hearts instead of three.

The Heart Containers will be gone forever if you use them, so plan your allocation wisely.

Built-up damage will be carried over to the next fight. The Heart Containers can negate all damage, but they’re limited in number. Now it’s a game to determine whether or not you want to use them – weighing up your current damage and the opponent in the next battle.

Uh... Isn’t starting with 100% a bit reckless?

By the way, because you’re playing in Stadium, you can’t continue. Sorry about that.

I think those who love playing games over and over can truly enjoy this as it has a varied range of difficulties, and the clear time is displayed on the screen.

I bet that somewhere in the world there’s a monster player who can clear the incredibly challenging Intense level without using any Heart Containers...

Honestly, I find some bosses to be harder than Tabuu. There is an easy strategy to follow when fighting tabuu. It is: WAIT!!! You don't fight Tabuu, you let him come near you then you attack. Just watch out for a few attacks. The big mechanized beam, just make sure that after the device comes out, jump twice and to be even safer, do your third jump. The bladefish attack is simple, just know where he is. If he's high above you, don't jump. If he's low, JUMP! When he's about to bring his chain, just jump and air dodge. Then you have to watch out for the times he just slashes or sends of an electric field or when he brings out a storm of pellets. Tip, go to the back and send out projectiles. There are two OHKO moves. The harp like cage thing is annoying but just jump over it, it's doable. The move he does with his wings is dodgeable. Just sidestep thrice when you see the waves come out. It just needs practice. Yeah, after trying to trophify him so much, I already know how he moves.

I can easily beat all Bosses except Tabuu he is to damn hard. I had to do co. op. SE to beat him and it took about 5 tries.

You really took 5 tries? I only did it once and beat him. I'm just repeating it a lot to get that hard to get tabuu (wings) trophy. It really is like pokémon that it's harder to capture a boss (legendary) rather than beat it. I trophified Tabuu but not the wing form... GRR... What I hate about the Trophy Stands are that they don't spawn much...

I find duon harder to beat... Tabuu is just needs a hit-and-run strategy.

HUH??? The timing of it all is a skill. You can't just head on attack or you'll be killed.

Yeah kidna my 10 year old cosuin beat him but it took him alot of tries and alot of time.

my sissucks,i faced the final boss with her,she took all of my lives! We barely got halfway.we tried 10 times.my sister gave up. i tried it myself. I beat the first time i tried it. Told you my sister sucks!

Uhm, try to do boss battles and all star with 6 year old nephews...it can get frustrating that they're more of a nuissance than help.

Duon and Tabuu were pretty much the only hard bosses to beat. Everyone else was an easy hack n' slash.
