Mega Smash Fighters - CAPCOM!

As we all know, it's not as fun anymore without the incessant Predictions... and we were all at least a little surprised when no new 3rd party chars were coming.

So I propose we try to match Nintendo's offering (and Konami/Hudson has something similar)... can we milk 38 fighters out of Capcom franchises, without more than 4 chars per franchise*?

Suggestions on a postcard please!

If you suggest a character, put in a short Smash move summary, and any other distinguishing features (flight, double jump, tether recoveries, etc.)



*I know there are like 50 versions of Megaman out there, so just 4 from that whole series please.

He dashes forward with extreme speed. It has no attacking potential, but it has no charge like fox's side B.

I think Mega Man's special ability would have to include taking on the moveset or perhaps just a single move of a character he knocks out in a match.

That would be hard, but I was thinking Down B could be the ability to fuse with items. The only thing stopping me is the fact that you can turn off items.

Then again, you can turns off Final Smashes which rebalances the game against certain players with a powerful FS (Kirby, for example).

But it is an interesting question, because what items would a Capcom game have?

STREETFIGHTER:

1) Ryu
Why - I include Ryu because he's the face of the SF series.
Moves - Hadoken, Whirlwind Kick, Shoryuken.
FS - Ultimate Hadoken.

2) Ken
Why - Ken is to Ryu like Luigi is to Mario (sort of).
Moves - Same as Ryu but more focus on the Shoryuken (Flaming Uppercut) than hadoken.
FS - Ultimate Shoryuken.

3) Chun-Li
Why - An essential female character from the SF series.
Moves - Fireball, Kicking Attacks, SPINNING BIRD KICK!
FS - Spinning Bird Hurricane.

4) ZANGEEEEEF (Zangief)
Why - some people would argue for M. Bison - but I think Zangief is funnier!
Moves - Wrestling-Based Attacks, Cyclone Fist Attack.
FS - Atomic Suplex.

MEGAMAN:

1) Megaman (and Rush? - original series)
Why - Megaman could be considered the "Poster Boy" of Capcom - if not Ryu.
Moves - Arm-Cannon Weapons from various Megaman games.
FS - Mega Beam (like Samus' Zero Laser).

2) Zero (X series)
Why - Again, Zero is to Megaman like Luigi is to Mario (sort of).
Moves - Arm Cannon Weapons AND Light-Sabre Attacks.
FS - Zero Blade (like IKE's FS).

3) Maverick (Neon Tiger/Crush Crawfish/Gravity Beetle/Toxic Seahorse - X series)
Why - I always liked the Mavericks (Robotic Animal Bosses) from the "X Series" - I'd like to see at least one make an appearance in this game.
Moves - Depends on the Maverick used.
FS - Depends on the Maverick used.

Here are some other suggestions I can't be bothered to add more detailed descriptions for (if you want to add a description for one of these - be my guest):

MORE MEGAMAN:

1) Vile (X series)
FS - Ride Armour

2) Tron Bonne
FS - Servbot Stampede!

CAPTAIN COMMANDO:

1) Captain Commando
FS - Commando Team Strike!

STRIDER:

1) Strider Hiryu
FS - Mecha Beast Stampede!

RESIDENT EVIL:

1) Jill Valentine
FS - Summon Tyrant

2) Nemesis

I think we'll have to extend Street Fighter's allowance to 6 chars, like the Mario franchise has (Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Wario, Yoshi)

I would like to see some of the others with crazier moves like Zangief, Dhalsim and Honda in there though, so I might create a poll for SF characters.

Yeah, I suggested Zangief for the "comic relief" AND because he's a heavyweight. Dhalsim would need to be in as well - he's so unique in the world of videogames - what with the stretchy arms and all.

I personally feel that Ryu's, Ken's, Guile's and Bison's physiques (and maybe even movesets) are too similar for them to ALL be included.

...I might create a poll for SF characters.

Up Special: Wiki-copter
Down Special: Frog Bomb

Side Smash: Spideracket
Up Smash: Batbrella (allows float down in mid air)

Final Smash: Call in the Legendary Ship for a cannon barrage!

i dont understand this thread. but if you're asking what Street Fighter character should be in brawl then it's definatelly gotta be Sagat! Sagat's a badass muay-thai fighter that would definatelly improve the already great smash roster.



Sagat's special moves:
Standard B= Tiger Shot a projectile that can be shot high or low
Up B= Tiger Uppercut a jumping, flipping uppercut
Side B= Tiger Knee a jumping, rising knee thrust
Down B= Counter same as ike and marth's except he counters with a strong kick attack
Final Smash= Tiger Fury a storm of Tiger Shots that ends with a large "TIGER UPPERCUT"!!!
