If you're in Animal Crossing you get tons of epic stuff. 
And money is in trees, so who needs a job?

I'd be Sonic.
-I'd run ("travel" as in sightseeing) all over the world, taking advantage of his speed.
-I'd collect the 7 chaos emeralds to go into Super Form to skip the astronaut training and visit space.
-I'd gamble the hell out of the Casino Night Zone if money (rings) are laying around outside like that and get rich.
-I'd get the badass Shadow, telekinetic Silver, brawny Knuckles, brainy Tails, ruthless Jet, and many of Sonic friends and turn them into my own gang. I'd be feeling pretty secure. What's a cooler gang than this one?  You could borrow Shadow's bike or Jet's digital billboard quite often. You'll never get bored.
It seems like hell of an adventure if I was Sonic, so I'm going with Sonic.

The only bad thing about being Sonic, is that he's always naked with just the shoes on and you'd have Amy going bonkers on you constantly. 
Really, it just that he got off the wrong foot with Dr. Eggman which I certainly would have tried to avoid. Of course, if Eggman is gonna take over the world, it should only take me one adventure to finish him off once and for all... I hope.

If the choice itself was universal, I would have picked the Demi-Fiend.

Why? Because I can punch God in the face, if he exists, and bring the world true freedom. I'd walk through the conception first, recruiting fellow demons and have them assist me in the rebirth of a world where people quit taking their lives for granted.

And still keep my demon powers with me should the conception happen again...yeah...
