The Melee Starting Video

I wanted to start this topic for a few reasons. I watched this...I'm bored, I got a break from all the work I'm doing and now I'm bored. So, I decided to watch the Melee starting video. The graphics of that video was cool but I saw some stuff that looked cool.

1. DK runs through the forest and jumps out...and they used that again...for SE.

2. Sheik is in Lake Hylia playing her harp.

3. 2 villains seem to actually be shown interestingly in Melee rendered graphics. That was Ridley and Wolf. This leads me to want them to fight in Brawl even more!

4. Sheik and Zelda play the harp while Link plays the ocarina.

5. There is a collosseum of some sort, they should put that in.

6. There seems to be a stage where there are lines...weird.

7. I just love the city showing the Samus starship and the Great Fox.

Hmm...makes you think why they didn't put these elements in the game itself.

Noticed a few more stuff...

1. the symbol of the sages are on the Link part of the video

2. a regular hand gets the mario trophy, not the master hand

3. the concept of trophy-fying and de-trophy-fying came from melee, especially shown in the video and the de-trophy-fying of Mario had to happen in the colloseum...and in SE, it's an arena...interesting ain't it?

I haven't seen this video in a while. I broke my copy of SSBM. This was a throwback for me

Most of that stuff's just window dressing, the rest is probably stuff that got cut due to time or capability restraints.

Here's something I noticed.

This makes me believe that Ganondorf HAS to be in Brawl. Or else a piece of the Triforce will be missing from the game.

The Third Triforce argument has been brought up before, but yes, that is a good argument for him being in.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if he wasn't in at this point.

Me too. It's always been the third triforce argument more than the others. And besides, Sakurai wants more villains so why would he remove the best villain there is.

I'm with Zero here.  I think that if it was a choice between Bowser and Ganondorf, Ganon would be shown the door in a blink.  Bowser is the most definitive villian in all of Nintendo.  But I don't see there being a decision here, as Bowser's not gonig to interfere with Ganondorf's return.

I'm not gonna argue that Bowser is more iconic then ganondorf but I think that Ganondorf is way more of a villain then Bowser ever will be. Bowser is kind of soft. In my opinion if Bowser fought Ganondorf then Ganondorf would easily defeat Bowser.

That depends on the flavor that Bowser is being shown with, his personality and competance seem to fluxuate.  At his strongest, I think Bowser would be a match for Ganon/dorf.  Hmm, that'd make an interesting video

But if Bowser were really a villain, he wouldn't play sports with Mario and be all fair with rules and stuff. Ganondorf would never do such with Link.
