Ah, here what Wikipedia said.
Geist (early working title: Fear, changed to avoid legal issues with F.E.A.R., unrelated video game) is a video game for the Nintendo GameCube video game console, released on August 15, 2005 in the USA and on October 07 of the same year in Europe. The game was not released in Japan. The gameplay bears a resemblance to that of Metroid Prime and Messiah.
A prototype of the game was developed by n-Space, who approached Nintendo as first to be the game's publisher. Nintendo accepted, making Geist the third game published by Nintendo to receive an M-rating (the first being Perfect Dark and the second being Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem). In the following years, Nintendo and n-Space worked closely on Geist. The game was first shown at the E3 2003 and was announced to be part of the GameCube's line-up for 2003. However, it was delayed for two years for fine-tuning. During that time, the game's genre changed from first-person shooter to first-person action-adventure.
The Geist franchise is currently in the possession of Nintendo, due to their contract with n-Space. At the moment, there are no (announced) plans for a sequel. However, n-Space has announced they are working on a game for the Wii

Yup...I've seen Geist in stores but I never seemed to gain interest on it. But what's intriguing is that it is a nintendo only character. I'd also give it a maybe...just maybe...because the game might want to have the lead of geist in brawl so that it could be promoted when it comes out on the wii. Just at thought.

Geist was a fun game. It mixed FPS with puzzle strategy.
I doubt it will make it into the game as a character, simply because his style won't mesh. His primary ability is the ability to posess people, which means abandoning his body. You can see how that could complicate things.
However, he'd make a damn good AT as Geists in the game will attempt to possess you and walk you into hazards. An AT that grabs you and tries to walk you off the cliff could ddefinitely work.

Or briefly puts everyone under the control of an AI of some level. (Including other AIs, who would briefly be downgraded/upgraded to that level.)
