Widescreen Support

This title, like most Wii titles, supports widescreen display. In other words, you can enjoy the game with full display across televisions with wider screens, too.

This is standard display.

This is widescreen display.

The border off the screen that cues a KO is the same for both. Choose the display mode that matches the TV you have at home.

But some people may not know if they have a normal TV or widescreen TV, and may not even know what difficult terminology like 4:3 or 16:9 means. Right? Who knows all that stuff?

So, all you have to do is check the circle that appears in the background on the screen where you choose your display setting.

This is the correct standard ratio.

This is the correct widescreen ratio.

The two shots above... Wrong.

Being able to just look at the image and know if you got your settings right is pretty huge, huh?

Ah, yes. If your television has screen-size settings called Wide and Full, set your TV to Full. If you choose Wide, there is a chance the image may be shifted toward the center of the screen.

Sakurai is very resourceful. He could think of the most stupidest topics that haven't been tackled and talk about it. The next update I expect would be something about storage. "Well hey guys, you can decide to delete all your progress and start a new game. But now, I put a code in it so that you wouldn't accidentally erase your game." Or something about getting items. "To those unfamiliar with smash, here's how you use various items. The first is a battering item. The beam sword is an example, pick it up with a and slash with a. You could even charge it. Then you have guns. Just press a and a projectile would be shot..." Or he could all go out pull a fast one and talk about types of matches. "I've brought back the time match, stock match and etc." Honestly, I'm getting tired of these already known stuff ideas. Please let it end Sakurai and reveal Sheik!

"Resourceful?"
You make it sound like Sakurai is a desperate survivor, attempting to make ammunition out of anything he can find to keep the zombie hordes (us) from eating him...
To extend this metaphor, I hope he has a grenade launcher waiting for a rainy day...

I think it's safe to say that the "big ones" (levels, characters, etc) are going to be few and far between.  Under his original schedule he'd be wrapping up about now.

I think his last couple of posts have been good.  They're not "OMG!" good, but they're filling in little questions.

Asterisks mean that the update either has been fixed or that it didn't need fixing at all.
