As you play through The Subspace Emissary, you’ll probably become aware of the "Clear %" displayed in the upper part of the screen.

This is what I’m talking about.

This tells you roughly how much of The Subspace Emissary you have completed. Of course, the most you can do is 100%.

When this figure is on display, you just want to keep increasing it more and more, don’t you?

Here’s how to do it.

  1. Open All Unopened Doors

What I mean is, go everywhere. Enter every place you can, including hidden doors.

However, there may be some places where you may not be able to go everywhere, like in the hidden area on the "Lake" stage.

Here we go, a hidden door! You can go between two different worlds!

  2. Clear the Stages

Of course, this is a big way to increase your clear percentage.

Here you can take a look at all your stickers and trophies.

  3. Get the Orange Cube Items

This is an orange cube.

These cubes contain valuable items and will not reappear once you get them. Finding the boxes and getting their treasures is another way to increase your clear percentage.

Also, items that are different from orange cubes occasionally appear—these also affect the clear percentage.

  4. Get Character Trophies

Well, I can’t really go into detail about these... Err... (Ahem!) Obviously though, there’s something important about them. If you’ve got them all by the end, there won’t be any problems.

Once you clear a stage, the map point will get a flag or a crown.

Both flags and crowns are proof that you’ve cleared a stage.

A flag means that you haven’t gotten all the things listed above for that stage. A crown means that the stage has been completely cleared.

In order to earn a complete victory, try your best to find all the doors and open all the orange cubes!

Sometimes you might even feel we were a little mean!

I guess it's informative, but man I just don't care about this update.  I will probably shoot for 100%, but this was a boring update.

I find this update exciting. I'm the type who likes to complete everything so I will explore. Getting that flag will make me want to get that crown. A 10/10 update. And I didn't consider it a spoiler.

I guess i like knowing how much i've completed but Matt was right, this was a boring update.

It is something that i could have just figured out by playing, not really worthy of its own update

Truthfully, I've been going to blogs of those who have the jap versions and they wonder why they can't get to 100%. They didn't know about the flag crown system. Furthermore, that lake stage mesmerized me when I saw it being played. It's such a maze that it'll be hard to find both the way out and all the treasures.

Your reply made me want to see ------- revealed already. Anyway, we can't have what we want but I actually liked this update unlike a lot of you guys. If you've watched the SSE being played, you'd know why. HAHA.

I haven't, which is exactly why today's "Clear %" update still retains a refreshing air of "new info" to me.

Before this, I was aware of "World Doors" thanks to the Japanese trailers, but no actual walkthough videos.
Initially, they seemed like a convenient way to change the layout of a world by entering a new "room."
However, if it's so difficult to simply find these portals, I'm glad they're included. (added replay value)

I still have some questions about the Orange Cubes and Character trophies, especially after Sakurai's hesitation to discuss them. Are they just another excuse to have us spend more time playing SSE, or is there something more to it? All will be revealed in due time.

BTW, the name "Ruined Zoo" has a certain ring of horror to it...how wonderful.
The zombie monkeys are gaining on you Diddy...don't run...they just wanna be friends. 10/10.
