I noticed as a guest, up in the top left cornor it asks you something about your activation email. Whats that? And has it always been there?

It seems spammers have died down. IDK if its becuase of this or not.
Latley, we've been getting absolutley no new members. New members right now would be nice. I think this is mostly becuase of this activation email.
For me, when Im surfing the web and wanna check out a forum, I may quickly sign up. But if theres a system where you have to open your email, click an activation code, and wait for an admin to verify you, I dont bother. Too much of a hassle for something I dont even know Im going to like. Im sure its the same for new people trying to sign up here.
Now that the spambots have seen to gone, I think this system should be removed. Unless this is what is kepping spam bots away?
