I know it might sound odd, but I wonder if Sheik will have brown hair if shes in Brawl. Since Zelda now has Brown hair. Or since Zelda has different colored hair for each costume, they could simply set different hair for Sheik as well. Not always blonde like Melee.

I think that IF sheik is in then she will have the same color hair as whichever version of Zelda she is so Brown hair for new Zelda, Blonde hair for old Zelda, and gray hair for dark Zelda. Because I THINK that in Sakurai's eyes Sheik is Zelda and Zelda is Sheik. Just like how wolf link is link and link is wolf link. They are the same person but they just have a different outward appearence.

A bit of clarification for people here. Brawl Zelda is different from TP Zelda and OoT Zelda. Because Brawl is not bound by canon, Zelda can transform to Sheik and vice versa. Therefore, Sheik could have brunette hair in a purple suit, white hair in a black suit and blonde hair in a blue suit. It has no bearing on canon. And guys think, how could Brawl Zelda be BOTH TP Zelda and OoT Zelda (with better dress embroidery) if she weren't non-canon. Thing though is, Brawl adopts canon material and transforms it into Brawl material. So yeah, you get a feel that you're playing the character from the game it's from but in canon, they are not the same character. Is that confusing or do you get my point?
