im back from my vacation and im behind on postings.so here is a topic on marth. i did a vetrian poll, offering roy and no marth. people said they prefered marth. why

damn im so behind on posts people i knew as jr. members are now full members or higher. i got a long way to go

I got an even longer way to go, so don't worry dude. I'm not even a Jr. Member yet. Anyway, Marth is faster and lighter. And alot more used than Roy. Also, can pull off combos easier.

Marth is the original and Roy was added as a clone.

Also, Marth's moveset made him generally more likeable than Roy, who's recovery time was too slow off of most moves and who lacked Marth's deadly sword tip.

you cant get close to a good marth player cos of that tip. and marth was the first. and is getting a remake on DS for english gamers. but roy was far cooler for those who know him. when sakurai said clones would all be gone or reworked.. everyone started assuming he was going to be super harsh with the cutting of characters..  i thought only the stupid clones like young link doc and pichu were getting the chop and the rest were being reworked but not im pretty much mourning roy already..

roy looked cooler than marth though. Marth looked gay...no offense. And ya...marth characters are hard to get close too. Best place to get him was from behind...and even that's hard to do

hes just too good at arials, lyk he can do a short-mid jump and swipe like 3 times before landing, and if u get hit with a down arial when ur on the ground, youre ruined cos you bounce up high enough for a well spotted forward smash that sends you well off the stage at as low as 65% and if you try to double jump away you run the risk of gettin hit anyway and losing your air jump to gt back.

thats wat i always tried to do, now i just DI as best as possible and take the second hit like a man but use my 2nd jump to oget back. thats one combo of marths that ruins link.

and i agree marth did look lyk a dyke but hes getting a scruffy makeover for his new DS game so theyl probably make that consistent with his new look in smash.

does he have a makeover? really...he does? anyways, marth is just far out great once you master him. I never got to master him so I'm at a disadvantage. Anyways, I hope he comes back so I could start learning how to master the brawl marth. There's no real use mastering melee marth as the physics of the two games have various differences. Maybe, they'd even downgrade marth a bit. I don't know. We just have to find out soon enough.

Marth's a boy...and I think he's gay...why does he have a headband...oh yeah...so it won't be distracting at battle

From what I've heard, Ike is incredibly slow, but very powerful. From all we know, Ike could be the reworked Roy.

Marth will be in because he's faster and has a different move set from Ike.

I'm comparing Marth to Ike because... do we really need three Lord classes from the Fire Emblem games? Out of Marth, Ike and Roy, the one most likely to get the cut is Roy.
