<Power Suit Samus>

When you let loose with Zero Suit Samus’s Final Smash, she reequips her Power Suit.

Yes, Zero Suit Samus isn’t the stoutest of fighters, so picking up a Smash Ball is cause for relief.

She’s on standby and ready to rock!

Energy swirls around Samus.

Then she transforms!

It’s Samus! Samus! Samus!

The whirl of energy that appears before Zero Suit Samus’s transformation sucks enemies into the chaos.

I should probably tell you that only Samus is available on the character-selection screen. So what should you do when you feel like playing Zero Suit Samus from the get-go?

| 1: At the character-selection screen, hold down a shield button then proceed to the next screen.

The Power Suit falls away in fragments.

| 2: Quickly input taunts ↑↓↑.

What’s this? ...So you can shed your armor anytime you want?!

Thing is, you’re going to have to put that command in pretty darn fast in order for it to work. If you’ve set your taunts to the +Control Pad on your controller, you’ll eventually input the command correctly if you rapidly hammer up and down on the +Control Pad.

It’s not easy, but how awesome is it that you can make Samus coolly switch between two completely different fighting forms! Try it out next time you feel like showing off.

Nooo!!  why... Cry          Zamus isnt a stout fighter,  Cry

They make it seem like playing as Zamus is a bad thing and turning back to Samus is the only solution.  Sad

You guys are putting it out of perspective. He just means that because she isn't stout, it's easy for her to grab items like the smash ball. I actually think Samus is the one at a disadvantage because Samus can turn into Zamus at any time but Zamus needs a smash ball to become Samus. That makes me love Zamus more.

I like how you can shed your armor whenever  you want but I don't understand how to do it. It's kind of confusing.

Initially, I only knew about the "shield button press" tip thanks to a past thread.
But, the option to change on the go using up+down+up taunts is sure to come in handy.
Sometimes, one needs agile/light characters in order to maneuver certain gimmick stages.

Overall, for providing this new transformation information, I'll give this update a 10 out of 10.
It almost makes me want to use Samus/Zamus competitively, but she's always been a Smash favorite.
What I mean by that is, do we really want to see 4 Samus users constantly duking it out in Spectator Mode?

HAHA...I set my mind to Zamus the minute I saw her. But now, with the added functionality, you would really want to use her. And making her Samus is a smash ball away...like that'll ever happen for me. HAHA. Anyway, Drew, the second way is to just push all your taunt buttons like crazy. It'll cause the suit to malfunction and break thus bringing out Zamus.

You see those arrows? I think you just need to press up, down, up on the control pad to change.

Yup...it's Up Down Up on the taunt pad. Anyways, this is also good for another character, Fox! Use the taunts up down up on Lylat Cruise or Corneria and you'll activate his special taunt. The one in Corneria is the same as the one in Melee. But the one in Lylat Cruise will call on Falco, Slippy, Peppy and Krystal.

Interesting that you can "dump" the Varia/Power Suit at any time...

...Why you would want to I still have to figure out.

That is all I have to say.
