I just realized that sonic has only one colour, blue with different coloured cuffs and socks. He should have had red, blue, green, white, black and standard.

Yea i saw that and was thinking it could be difficult to tell the difference if you have two people playing as sonic... i also thought it was lame... 90% of the characters get between 6 and 8 colors and sonic is stuck with cufflinks why do i feel this was something sega insisted upon? |

pikachu doesnt change colors either or jigglypuff
yes but their clothes are very noticable. also pikachu does change colours but only very slightly |
