If you're going to do wifi without unlocking all characters and stages, chances are, you'll be spoiled. If someone you battle has a character and/or stage you don't, you get to play that character and/or stage during WiFi mode. So, advice is unlock all characters and stages before Brawling in WiFi. For those that don't know...there are only 35 characters in the roster...37 if you include Sheik and Zamus, 39 if you split Pokémon Trainer into Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard. So I hope you guys finish the roster before battling through wifi.

This is exactly why I chose to barely glance at the full roster, but nothing else.
Granted, it will take about about a week to "unlock 'em all" with my schedule.
But soon after, I'll be ready to try my hand at this "WiFi" business.

Well, I myself find it unfair that you will battle an opponent whose moves you haven't personally studied. That's why I myself don't want to play wifi until I get the characters I need. It's still a spoiler to see how a character plays against yours. I want to experience that character first before trying to use him against an opponent elsewhere or my opponent using it.
