Actually, there are:

Shield Cancel Grab: It's simliar to the jump grabs in Melee. There are multiple ways of doing it: While running, let go of the analog stick and press and shield for as little and one frame and press A. If you don't let go of the analog stick you'll get the full running grab. You can actually do with w/o letting of the analog stick but for that you have to shield for a bit longer. Probably 3-5 frames.

L-Cancel Grab: It is basically the same running grab animation but sped up, similar to how attacks were speed up. Basically use Z or L/R+A in a pivot. Press one side of the analog stick and immediately press the other side with Z or L/R+A. Notice it's a running grab but REALLY fast. THIS IS THE FASTEST GRAB IN THE GAME!!! . This is basically the Reverse Grab minus all that C-Stick nonsense. You don't to press the other direction immediately but if you want to be standing still, do it 1 frame. (You don't have to push the analog stick all the way to one side either)

Correct me if I'm wrong but am I right in saying that all characters can be unlocked playing through SSE mode? (unless there's some super secret character no one has unlocked yet) and that unlocking them in this mode bypasses having to play and defeat them to use them in your roster?

I know there are multiple ways to unlock the same character but, I find this way extremely cheap with little to no challenge involved. Personally, I don't think I'll touch SSE mode until I've unlocked a majority of the characters. Does anyone else feel this way or am I alone here?

Only a few characters can be unlocked without playing SSE, so you're outta luck there and you still have to beat them in a battle in ordre to unlock them, so there's still the same amount of challenge. They are a few characters that can be unlocked without playing SSE, but the majority are in it.

Actually, ALL characters can be unlocked in SSE but some are optionals. For more info, check the thread: SSE optionals. Also, some hiddens in SSE are after you fight them like Lucario and G&W.

all characters can be unlocked in sse (though you wont necessarily unlock them all by beating it a few are hidden) and all characters can be unlocked by another means
