GameTrailers has posted a new video from Nintendo's upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which includes the character select screen from the Japanese version of the game. In it, we can clearly see some previously unannounced brawlers, a list of which Kotakuite Tylor was cordial enough to include along with this screenshot from the video. Here's what Tylor sees: Midna from Twilight Princess Ganandorf from Wind Waker Young Link from Wind Waker Baby Bowser King K. Rool from Donkey Kong series Wolf O'Donnell (Star Wolf) from Star Fox series Kristal from Star Fox series Ashley from WarioWare Smooth Moves Lucario from Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Black Shadow from F-Zero series See anyone else you recognize? These old eyes aren't what they used to be, so feel free to put names to faces in the comments section. Update: There's a good possibility the screen is fake, but it's still fun to speculate. It's already out-of-date because Zelda's "Box" should have both Sheik and Zelda in it.
I know you've already stated it as fake but I'm gonna say "case closed".
[EDIT] Plus I don't see them adding Dark Samus when that is more likely to be represented by Samus's "dark" costume.

I agree. Also Falco isn't in there too. I love the characters in that fake screen, though. It'd be cool if they were all playable. |

And I don't know the other (I'm guessing Fire Emblem) characters next to Ike?
That's Ashley next to Wario - I'd expect to see Mona or Jimmy T. before her.

That's Ashley next to Wario - I'd expect to see Mona or Jimmy T. before her.
My money's on someone from EarthBound. I agree. I think Mona and Jimmy T is more deserving. Ashley might be in because her music theme is in. |

Yes, now when I look a bit closer I can see that it's Captain Falcon. As for Black Shadow, I had no idea who that was since I've never played F-Zero. I didn't even know Captain Falcon existed before I played Melee. |

Ah, not so big on F-Zero, eh? Black Shadow is an enemy of Captain Falcon's. Like Blood Hawk is a rival (clone) of Captain Falcon. Same concept as Bowser being Mario's enemy as Wario is Mario's rival. |

I think the "dark" costume of Samus will have the body of the "Metroid Prime" from MP2 inside (in the form of Zamus - with blue skin/red eyes). But you're right - Dark Samus is still possible. |

It is easy to tell this is fake in many ways. Ashley is a stage guest in the WarioWare stage, not a PC. And the picture of Midna shows that whoever made this used photoshop. I see those pictures of her like that everywere. For instance, my signature. It has the exact same picture of her laying back in that position like that. If she was a PC, Sakurai would have made a new fresh picture of her. See it on this picture?  It is the exact same on in that roster. and also, anyone know whos in between Ike and Marth? |
