While it’s true you can battle over Wi-Fi, your connection environment and the distance between players can cause great changes in speed. That fact probably makes you a little uneasy.

So, we conducted an online battle between Nintendo’s headquarters in Kyoto and the development team in Tokyo. The distance between Kyoto and Tokyo...is nearly the same distance between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Here’s the video of that match.

But the question is: did Nintendo accidentally (or "accidentally" if you prefer) drop another leak in this?  I'm going over this with a fine-tooth comb, myself.
So far I've noted:
Samus' FS creates a concussion wave when it dissipates.  Makes it a bit deadlier, doesn't it?
WTF?!?  Is that sandbag?
To those claiming Brawl is finished and they're delaying for some conspiracy reason; this bit of final tweaking time is used for, among other things, removing small but annoying glitches... notice the lag-time going from Samus to ZS Samus.  It's not game killing, but hopefully they'll have that out when the final product ships.
Oh, and of course, the further proof that Sonic games are not played for their voice-acting.  "You're too slow!"  *Sigh.*  I'm gonna kill that hedgehog if only to silence him.
Nothing worth staying up until 1:30 A.M. for, though.  I'd complain, but if Blizzard were to give us something similar for Starcraft 2, I'd be drooling and thanking God.  Still, Sakurai, you know you've got better.  Show us some Ness or Lucario!  You know you want to...

Some observations:

Whoever is playing Sonic really sucks!

Mario never dies! (Thats how he won.)

Samus' was the only character to go for the smash ball.

Also, it looks like it is ready for shipment- lets get it out now!

Star Fox's stage definitely, and it looks freakin sweet!

I give this update a 10/10.

EDIT: IF you go to the Japan site it will show you a different video! ENJOY, also I have not checked the other countries!

I dunno... the aforementioned Samus/ZS Samus lag causes me pain to see... I really hope that gets fixed.

I'll upload those shortly.

Japanese version:

Everyone else got our version.
I'm too tired to fine-tooth comb Japan's version.  Maybe sometime after I've gotten some sleep...

Only Japan has diff vid!

Also, from all the different videos that I have seen, I noticed that is normal for ZSS. IMO

Oooo i really liked the 2nd video a lot, i guess because Kirby was able to throw down pretty well in it. Though the big thing that surprised me was Kirbys FS, it's not that i haven't seen it before but i always assumed you had to be on the ground to use it but he just plopped his pot right there in the air and did the FS. It was awsome too because if you are able to pull your foes up into a higher position then when they shoot out they have a much bigger chance of being KO'd, heh i can't wait to try out Kirby in this.

Nice... showed them all off a bit

Everyone seems to have a much more defined style that melee.  Seems to be balanced fantastically, and all the levels look gorgeous.  I'm definately gonna be playing every single aspect of this one.

Now if only they'd start confirming some characters I'd be set.

Sonic got me pretty excited in the first vid! I've never really paid much attention to his gameplay before...

Heres some things i noticed from the second video.

Kirby's FS looks really overpowered. it can grab every enemy on the screen no matter where they are, and now! he can use it in midair...

Ike's attacks are very very slow, like i thought they would be, making him a garbage character.

They guy playing snake looked as if he never played smash before >_>

The spicy curry towards the end of the fight, seems to be the best thing to edgegaurd with, as well as effecting a great deal of damage to a group of enemys.

One last thing... This is over the internet, over a country's length distance between eachother, yet i saw no lag. Brawl is going to be great!

Nah, Kirby's attack was done pretty near them in that sort of horizontal radius. We still don't know for sure. This actually confirms FSes could be done in air though, but some do fall to the ground.

Speaking of the distance...actually it's great. But that's just Japan's distance...how about overseas?

Sand bag is an item now....I wonder how you use him. just punching him around wont do any good unless it hurts when you punch him into someone else.

Hey did anyone notice in the first video that, when the video gets twoard the end (I'm not sure of the exact second), Mario is on the very right of the stage, picks up some object, and throws it at ZS Samus. What is that?

Edit: Actually, it appears to be two items, one of which is the mothion sensor bomb with a new model. But I can't tell what the other one is. And I've noticed Link pciks up something that looks like a gold ball (I don't think it's a pokeball) on the right before getting hit off by Sonic a little past the middle of the video.

Wario for President! But no Bowser Jr. or Ridley for Brawl!:( Oh well, there's always the next game, I guess.
